John, our founder, is an experienced and highly motivated educator with a Bachelor's degree in History and a Master's degree in Teaching, with endorsements in Elementary and Special Education. He has a proven track record of success in elementary Title 1 schools and is licensed to teach in Virginia with over 11 years of exceptional performance.
He quickly assesses and adapts to situations and is poised under pressure with a solution oriented mindset while leveraging his interpersonal skills. He utilizes highly effective communication skills and works well in a team or independently. He is creative and analytical, with a strong knowledge of education policy, including teacher leadership and professional development, K-12 standards, and curriculum.
He is passionate about ensuring teacher effectiveness and high-quality education for all students and has a deep commitment to excellence and equity. John is currently licensed by the Virginia Department of Education in Administration and Supervision, Elementary Education K-6, and Special Education K-12, and a valid license through 2031.
